Some reminders for 2009

1.  Tee times are finalized on Fridays!  The tee times for league events will be FINALIZED on Fridays at noon. What this means is that your tee time might be switched around a little bit from the original time that you requested in order to squeeze the gaps and openings and duplicates of people's sign ups)

2.  Expect the unexpected !  On Monday nights, there will be cancellations etc, so you may be asked to move up or back from your original tee time.

3.  Always check in 30 minutes prior to your tee time to the pro shop where you will pay your weekly fee of $20 to walk, $25 to ride.

4.  Tee time sign up each week.  Just because you have paid your $35 annual registration fee does not mean that you are good to go to play each Monday.  You must log in each week (Mon – Fri) and select a tee time for each week. You cannot just show up and expect to be paired in a group.

5.  Tee Times are Blind in 09:  This means that you will not be able to see who you are being paired with.  Part of our LOL mission is to meet other golfers, if you want to play with the same gals each week, what is the point of the league?  Just make your own foursome and play another night!

6.  Need to Cancel?  You can cancel yourself before Friday at noon (check FAQ’s), but after Friday at noon, you must now email CBall@EagleGolf.com right up until your tee time in order to avoid a No Show $5 penalty the next time you play.  No phone calls to the shop, we need your cancellation in writing.

7.  Results:  Scoring results each week, can be found under “Results” icon and a summary under “News” icon.

8.  Threesomes:  Only have three players in your group?  Don’t forget to rotate one person who should hit an extra shot on each hole (ie: A player would hit two shots all the way down hole number one.  B would hit two shots all the way down hole number two, etc.)  Each player in the group rotates, you cannot just have your best player hit all the second shots.  Also, second shots by players cannot be used for Closest to Pin or Long Drive.

9.  Closest to the Pin: You should put your name on the closest to the pin sheet even if you hit your shot just close to the green…your shot does not need to be on the green to be eligible, it just must be somewhere near to the green!

10.  Full Name and Flight:  Please remember to put your full name and correct flight on the scorecards as the pairings tend to be put together last minute by the starter at the first tee and I have no idea who is playing when or in what group.

11. Long Drives - must be in the fairway (not eligible if in the rough)

12.  Closest to Pins - put your name on the pink sign even if you are close to the green ( not necessarily on the green)

13.  Slow Play - To speed things up, there can be no walking in the first three groups (these groups set the pace for the rest of the league play, so cart riding only in the first three groups)

14. Stay in Your Flight - Even if you are an A Flight but are playing in a C Flight spot, you should only put your name on A Flight contests (long drive and closest to pins)

15. Speaking of Flights – If you think you or someone that you have played with is in the incorrect flight, shoot and email to CBall@EagleGolf.com.  Once we have enough “ammunition” on a player, we will make the change.

16.  Couples League:  In 2008, a nine hole Saturday afternoon couples league began at Los Robles.  They feature a 5:30pm shotgun start and any pair of golfers can play in the league (guy/gal, two women, two men, parent/adult child, cousins...you get the drift)  The cost is $70 per pair and includes green fee, cart, prizes and dinner after play.  You sign up through the pro shop.
