Thanks for visiting our Junior Golf Academy Home Page. Founded in March of 2004 by Dan Martin, PGA and Sally Quinlan, LPGA, the Junior Golf Academy of Ventura County has provided quality golf instruction, character development, and life skill education to over 2000 youth in Ventura County!

Our program, currently offered at 5 locations in the county, delivers year round affordable and convenient golf programming for boys and girls ages 6 to 16.

The Junior Golf Academy is comprised of 3 basic age groups:

• Little Linkers - Ages 6 to 8
• Middle Linkers - Ages 9 to 11
• Teen Linkers - Ages 12 to 16

Within each age group, our participants are challenged with 5 specific levels of achievement:

• Target - New & Beginning
• Par - Advanced Beginner
• Birdie - Intermediate
• Eagle - Advanced
• Ace - Tournament Player

To complete each level, participants must satisfy participation, golf skill, playing, golf knowledge, and life skill application/knowledge requirements. These are tracked easily on each member’s own progress chart, updated periodically by our Academy Instructors. Upon completing a specific level of achievement, our participants are invited to a ceremony, where they are given a pin marking the completion of a stage in front of parents, peers, and instructors.
