Open to any boy or girl ages 6 - 16.

Getting Started

To join to the Junior Academy, click on Register on the navigation bar above then fill in requested membership information. You will not be able to pay for classes/events, schedule classes/events, or access many exciting features on the website until this has been completed. Be sure to write down your login info for future visits to the website. There is no cost to registering on our website.

EMAIL ADDRESS - VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Be sure that your email address is correct when you register with the Academy. Frequently, this will be our only method of communication for cancellations and upcoming events. Also, be sure that you have set your Junk Email settings to allow for emails from any email address ending with @golfacademyvc.com. Email addresses will be protected and not used for any other reason other than communication with our membership. If you need to change your email address or login info, please email dan@golfacademyvc.com.

MY ACADEMY PAGE - VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Every time you visit the website, you must login to access all features of the website. Upon logging in, you will be on your "My Academy" page. This is the only location where you can Pay for Classes/Events, Register for Classes/Events, View Your Scheduled Classes/Events, and Cancel Classes/Events. You'll find each of these features briefly described below.

Payments

Before you can schedule classes or events, you must first pay for a session. A session is a prepaid number of credits which are used to schedule classes and events. Sessions are sold in the following denominations: 8 credits, 10 credits, 20 credits, and 40 credits. Each session has a limited time frame before it expires. (See Pricing for details.) All credits must be used prior to the expiration date.

To make a Payment, login with your username & password, and click on Make a Payment. Be sure to have your Visa or MasterCard ready. Follow the prompts until you have completed the transaction.

Scheduling Classes and Events

To Schedule a Class/Event, login with your username & password then click on Register for a Class or Event. Select the session and click on continue. Select the events you wish to sign up for and click continue. Do not show up for classes or events unless you have scheduled them on the website first!!

Cancelling and Rescheduling Classes

Login and Click on View My Scheduled Events or Cancel an Event. Here, you will find a list of events that you have registered for. To cancel any event, simply click on Cancel to remove it from your roster. To select a new class or event, follow directions above for Scheduling Classes and Events. If you cannot attend a class that you have scheduled and it is within 24 hours of the start, please contact the site director or email dan@golfacademyvc.com and we will cancel the class from your record.

Cancellation Policy

Failure to notify the Academy Director, Site Director, or instructor at least one hour prior to the start of a class will result in forfeiture of the said class. No exceptions.

Dress Code

All Academy participants should wear a collared shirt to all Academy classes and events. No denim is allowed at Rustic Canyon GC and Sterling Hills GC. Athletic shoes or golf shoes are recommended.

Session Expiration & Extension Policy

All credits must be used prior to the expiration of the session. Session expirations will only be extended in the following rare situations: Repeated cancellations due to poor weather, long-term sickness, or long-term injury. Request for session extension must come prior to the expiration of the session. No exceptions.

Poor Weather & Class Cancellations

In the event of rain, other poor weather conditions, or other reasons for event cancellation, notification will be given with as much prior notice as possible. For all cancellations occurring 1 or more days prior to the scheduled start date, email will be only method of communication/notification. For cancellations occurring within 24 hours of the start of any event, phone calls will be made to all registered participants. All cancelled events for these reasons will result in credits being returned to your session.

Holidays

Classes will not be held on the major holidays and will be announced in the monthly class schedule.

Equipment

Equipment will be provided for any student during classes or events. It is recommended that each student has their own set of clubs if they intend on participating for an extended length of time.

Scholarships

The Golf Academy of Ventura County will provide programming free of charge or at a discounted rate for those families needing assistance. Please contact Dan Martin at dan@golfacademyvc.com or at 805.901.7829 to apply for a scholarship.

Calendars/Schedule of Events

The monthly calendar of events for each Academy site will be posted on the website by the 15th of the previous month. You will be notified of any class changes by email only (please check your emails!)
